My times haven't been very good recently. The last couple of weeks my stomach has been rather temperamental, and would get upset easily after I ate anything. But still...I'm a busy girl so I pretty much ignored it.
Then this Tuesday I took a ferry over to Whidbey with Liz for attend Leona's B-day party. I felt perfectly fine most of the way, but on the bus over to her house I started to feel a little sick. (Before getting on the ferry I had some clam strips at Ivars). Again, I ignored it because who wants to ruin the fun?
Leona's place is amazing. Not her house per se because they have two single wide mobile homes, but they do keep them clean and orderly so I still like it. No, their land is what is so cool. They have two full sized horses, and a mini one. They also have chickens. And inside they have two cockatiels.
She has two dogs, one indoor, and one outdoor. The outdoor doggy is a husky/wolf mix and he is huge with super thick fur. Also, they own a ton of cats, but they are all well fed and taken care of. I feel in love with a burly black one named Hannibal who was really a sweety.
OH! And they had a ferret named Nemo, but we called him critter the whole time. HE WAS ADORABLE! They could just leave the cage door open and he would run around (neither the cats nor the dog paid him much mind) and he would go back in when he needed to use his litter box. He was so sweet and cute and it REALLY made me want a ferret.
Anywho...
So they had some buffet platter thingys on their counter so later as we got hungry me and liz started picking at the food. Closer to five Leona's friends from Bellingham arrived and they were pretty cool and enjoyed many of the same fandoms as me (the exception being Kingdom hearts *puke*) and revealed they would even have their own Kuroshitsuji group on Saturday of Sakura con with an undertaker (must make my costume better!).
Still...not too long after they arrived my tummy got worse. And worse...so that when we got around to playing twister I was just lying on the couch cursing my fate.
So later we ended up catching the 9:30 ferry and my dad picked us up at the dock. By then I felt SUPER yucky. I got home and didn't even have the heart to check my e-mail which is saying something since I'm an internet fiend.
I went to bed early figuring that I would feel better in the morning. WRONG!
And so I've been feeling disgusting for the rest of the week. I missed two days of work, three days of school, and a major test (which the teacher said I could make up on Tues). I went to the doctor yesterday and she thinks I might have a bacterial infection in my stomach. So...while I wait for my blood work, I'm on Prilosec OTC to help reduce the stomach acid in my stomach so I can actually eat. (the first day I didn't eat at all but some mac and chese, and yester I had a bagel, part of a muffin, and some soup!)
So I'm feeling a tad better today and I'm hoping this Prilosec shit will help me because I'm really hungry. :(
God, please by monday let me be in tip top shape. I really need to get back to work and hopefully my boss isn't too pissed at me...
